How to Query Serial Numbers using Customer Support tab
This query allows you to be able to enter a serial number and find out the following information:
- The Sales Order and Line this serial number was shipped on
- The ability to create a customer RMA for the serial number in question (see RMA documentation for specifics on this procedure)
- The Purchase Order and Line this serial number was received on
- The ability to create a vendor RMA for the serial number in question (see RMA documentation for specifics on this procedure)
- What RMA lines have been created
- The Production Work Order on which this serial number was created and the related serialized item was built
- Lower level serialized items that went into the production of the serial number in question. You can create an RMA for any of these serialized items. (see RMA documentation for specifics on this procedure)
- Lower level non-serialized items that went into the production of the serial number in question. You can create an RMA for these non-serialized items. (see RMA documentation for specifics on this procedure)
Simply click on the “Customer Support” tab, enter the “Serial Number” field, and click “Search”.
